Hosts Jake, Trey and Wally catch up and recap the fifth Signature event of the season, held in Utica, New York. They examine the singles and doubles standings, debate whether a new female player might shake up the pro field, discuss ACL team standings, and play a segment of “Buy or Sell” before finishing with their “Hole‑y Hot Takes”. Heat. Heat. What's up, Cornhole fans, and welcome to another episode of Around the ACL. This is not Michelle Thompson. This is Trey Ryder alongside Jake Brandon and Wall-E K9 Castler. Michelle is off gallivanting in New York City. Probably drinking a Paloma right now. Gonna watch this from from her room. No, she's not going to watch this at all. So, we can we can just rag on her as much as we want. So, um appreciate it tuning in. Yeah. Yeah, exactly. Yes. She's she's having too much fun talking about Harry Potter and doing eating pizza and bagels. So, we'll see. Uh, we'll see what she says when she comes back. But we're just coming off of our fifth signature event of the year up in Udica, New York. I will say I did not realize that Udica had so many food delicacies. I had myself Udica Greens for the first time.
In this episode Jake, Trey and Michelle discuss the fifth Signature event as the ACL season winds down. Players head to New York to compete and prepare for the World Championships. The crew breaks down singles and doubles brackets and discusses team matchups before finishing with their usual “Hole‑y Hot Takes”. Heat. Heat. Welcome everyone to Around the ACL. Michelle Thompson here with Trey Ryder and Jake Brandon. And we have our fifth signature coming up this weekend in Utica, New York. So, going to get into our brackets for that as well as our teams lineup. And that'll pretty much be the entire show. We've got a lot to get to. It always takes a while to go through our brackets. And I was telling Jake before we hopped on, it is so hard this season not to just go chalk. Like, it's so boring making our picks. Like, I'm like, I don't know how I could pick anybody but number one or number two. So, going to be interesting to see if we can break that streak or if it's going to continue to be our our highlevel seeds making it to the end. But it's definitely hard to bet against them. Uh Trey, I hesitate to ask how you're doing.
Grip matters less than a back‑loaded bag, tilt at impact, and an across‑body finish. Pick one grip and be consistent.
